Château Magneau is an ancient property that has been run by the Ardurat family since before the reign of Henri IV in the Graves region that is often referred to as ‘the cradle of Bordeaux wine’ and has been described as a beauty asleep in her woods and forests. From one generation to the next, the family has passed on the philosophy of “quality before profit" and they have been recognized by an exhaustive list of awards.

Wines from this region, espceially ones like this are superb examples that illustrate the art of blending grapes--that bring balanced fruit, tannins and minerals together in harmony.  This wine is both fruit forward-thanks to the Merlot, but beautifully elegant and not overly punchy due to not overly using oak to mask the wine.
