Crémants are pretty much the best value in French sparkling wines.  They are produced using the same method as Champagne and there are only 7 regions in France allowed to use the Crémant designation ( Loire, Burgundy, Alsace, Jura, Savoie, Limoux and Bordeaux).

While the permitted grapes are liberal depending on the region, there is slew of requirements; minium ageing, hand harvesting, yields, limits on added sugar and so on to almost guarantee an outstanding wine.

This wine, from the cooler climate of the Loire Valley; only 40 miles from the Atlantic ocean, offers tremendous mineral with hints of tart raspberry and a perfect soft and velvetly sparkle.
