Springtime in a bottle!  The Alsace region in the NE corner of France has long had a German influence, yet the best winemakers in the region (like the Schmitt family) produce their wines with little if any residual sugar.

This family has been cultivating vineyards in the region since the 17th century and the cool climate and gravelly limestone of this more northern area produce outstanding white wines.

Produced from the noble Auxerrois variety of Pinot Blanc, this wine has a rich, floral nose which is followed by a wine possessing crisp, bright acidity, thus making it a beautiful match with food. On the palate, it has medium weight and flavors of apples and minerals.
