The Albariño grape originated here in this far NW corner of Spain, just bordering Portugal.  It accounts for 90% of all wine produced in this region, as it thrives in the moist, coastal climate. 
The ocean influence is what makes this wine so special, giving it bright acidity and that kiss of sea air--making it perfection with seafood.  Downright pretty and evoking with a long finish.
