Hailing from the NW coast of France, Menetou-Salon is a region that borders Sancerre, and the sophisticated sauvignon blancs it produces give the more famous region a run for its money.  Grown in quartz riddled limestone vineyards,  and aged in well used large barrels for 18 months, it is notably lemon-lime-y, intensely chalky, and sizzling in its driving intensity and minerality.
